SPECIAL PROJECTS

Take a look at some of my standout projects from over the years. From crafting impactful multimedia packages to producing and hosting my own show, I’ve dedicated my career to creating content that resonates and drives meaningful connections with any audience. Here’s how I can make your brand shine.

Uncomfortable Conversations is a project I took pride in producing, hosting, and editing. As the creator of this 11Alive+ original series, I oversaw every aspect of the production, from concept development and guest selection to scripting, filming, and post-production editing along side a team of three others. Each episode blends expert perspectives, lived experiences, and thought-provoking discussions to inspire understanding and change. Here are some of my episodes —>

Paris Summer Olympic Games

I crafted the digital plan and over 20 articles to drive online engagement during the Olympics for an NBC-affiliated news station. This included creating brand-new social media graphics and streaming considerations for exclusive interviews before and during the Summer Games. Here are some of those stories and interviews.

Black History Month: Honoring legacy, recognizing progress, and shaping the future

This project celebrated Black History Month by highlighting Atlanta’s rich legacy of leadership, innovation, and progress through a compelling interactive series. Designed to engage and educate, the project explored pivotal stories of Black history and modern-day change-makers through several different multimedia elements, including a full website.

The interactive content invited users to delve into narratives such as Atlanta's role in Black education, economics, and politics, profiles of trailblazers like Congresswoman Nikema Williams and Georgia NAACP President Gerald Griggs, and the entrepreneurial success of initiatives like The Village Retail.

Investing in People: A Community Transformation on Cleveland Avenue

This project highlights the transformative power of investing in people, not just properties. I collaborated with 11Alive Investigates to tell the story of Marjy Stagmeier, a landlord who revitalized two Atlanta apartment complexes by reducing violent crime by 96% and fostering a thriving community. Through multimedia storytelling, including interactive videos, interviews, and written articles, I showcased initiatives, property redesigns for safety, and partnerships with schools and law enforcement.

This is one of many interactive elements made for this series. Get to know the young entrepreneurs in their videos below by clicking their names and then the exclamation point.

This project uses interactive elements to bring the stories of Atlanta’s “Water Boys” to life, offering a dynamic and immersive exploration of their experiences. Through clickable videos and visual storytelling, viewers can meet young entrepreneurs who transformed their roadside hustle into the thriving brand Water Boyz 'N the Hood, examine bodycam footage of law enforcement interactions, and hear directly from community leaders and impacted families. The interactive design allows audiences to engage with layered narratives, from the tragedy of Jalanni Pless to the mentorship provided by nonprofits like Next Level Boys Academy and Helping Empower Youth (HEY), creating a comprehensive and impactful look at this uniquely Atlanta story.

Uplifting LGBTQIA Pride Over the Years

For the past few years, I have headed our online coverage for Pride month, telling stories of the LGBTQIA+ community in north Georgia. Here are a few of the stories and specials:

'Libraries are society's best bargain' | Free tickets, audio books and more at metro Atlanta library systems

This project highlights the innovative and often overlooked resources available through Georgia's public libraries, from virtual reality headsets and 3D printing to typewriters and career development tools. Designed with interactive elements, the project allows users to click through sections featuring unique programs like Clayton County’s genealogy research tools, Cobb County’s Creative Studio, and Gwinnett County’s Learning Labs. It also includes a map of all the libraries in Atlanta’s five core counties.
