I worked closely with my team to create a video and article that would amplify the voices of the Ballroom community. This involved interviewing members of the community, visiting rehearsal spaces, and capturing their artistry during performances. These preliminary conversations weren’t just informative—they were transformative, offering raw insight into the struggles and triumphs of Black LGBTQ+ individuals.
MomoCon 2024.
Creating the MomoCon 2024 preview video was an exciting journey into Atlanta’s vibrant geek culture, where fandoms, creativity, and community collided in spectacular fashion. From highlighting standout events like the Spiderman Guinness World Record attempt to capturing the detailed artistry of cosplayers, every moment was a celebration of passion. Interviews with legends like Disney’s Jodi Benson and local talent Greg Burnham added depth, showcasing the creative minds behind beloved characters and stories. Filming required an energetic approach to reflect the convention's dynamic atmosphere, while post-production balanced fast-paced visuals with heartfelt interviews to present MomoCon as more than just a convention—it’s a celebration of imagination and connection. This project was not only an homage to the geek community but also a testament to the power of storytelling in bringing people together.
